Brother Knights,
Room at the Inn is a charity we’ve long supported. They work tirelessly to help women at risk of abortion to make a positive decision to keep their children. They do this through a significant two year commitment to a mother
They are now working to expand their focus to the most active front in the war against abortion, the college campus. A majority of abortions are committed by college-aged women and Room at the Inn is taking their effective model of support for women at risk to the campus to address the need.
They have asked the Knights across the state for help raising the final million dollars they need to begin building their new facility on the campus of Belmont Abbey. For our generosity and sacrificial support, The Knights of Columbus will be able to name their new facility after our founder: “The Michael J. McGivney Center for Life”.

Canonization of Fr. Michael J. McGivney |
|
Tuesday, 12 January 2010 01:39 |
Pope Benedict XVI has approved a decree recognizing the heroic virtue of Fr. Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus. The Pope’s declaration significantly advances the priest’s process toward Sainthood, and gives the parish priest distinction of “Venerable Servant of God”.
If canonized, Fr. McGivney would be the first American-born priest to be so honored. With the authentication of a miracle at Fr. McGivney’s intercession, the priest could be beatified. A second miracle would be required for canonization.
